Charles W. Rollins
Chairman Charlie Rollins has served on the Sequatchie County Board of Education since 1990 and currently serves as Chairman of the board. Charlie achieved Level 5 with the TSBA (Tennessee School Board Association) in 2008, TSBA All State School Board member in 2009, and District Representative for the TSBA Tennessee Legislative Network in 2010. He is 1971 graduate of South Pittsburg High School. He is married to Gloria Long Rollins, chemistry and physics teacher at Sequatchie County High School. They have two sons William Rollins, employed as Assistant Manager at First State Finance in Cleveland, TN, and Michael Rollins serves as the Minister of Students at Cumberland Homesteads Baptist Church in Crossville, TN. Charlie has two granddaughters Addy and Emma Rollins. He is co-owner of Sports Place in Dunlap, TN and an active member of Dunlap First Baptist Church. |

Shelli Dodson
Vice-Chairman Mrs. Dodson was elected on the School Board in August 2002. She currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the board. She has attained Level 4 with the Tennessee School Board Association. She is a 1980 graduate of Sequatchie County High School. She is married to Roger Dodson. Shelli has two children Josh “Pedro” Boynton, whom currently is employed by the Anderson County Board of Education and Whitney Boynton, whom currently is enrolled as a Junior at Tennessee Tech University. Mrs. Dodson currently holds the position as Office Manager at Jimmy Garren’s State Farm. |

Jo Ann Shepherd
Pro Tem Term Ends: August 2012 Mrs. Shepherd was appointed to the School Board by the County Commission in October of 2001. She was elected the following year of August 2002. She currently serves as Chairman Pro Tem. Mrs. Shepherd has attained credentials to Level 5 with the Tennessee School Board Association. She is married to Bobby Frank Shepherd of Dunlap. They have two children: J.R., whom is currently a senior at TN Tech University and Frank, whom is a senior at Sequatchie County High School. Mrs. Shepherd currently holds the position of Controller with Bill Boruff Supercenter in Sparta, TN. She also holds the position of Board Secretary for the Dunlap Chamber of Commerce. |

Steve Harmon
Board Member Mr. Harmon was elected to serve the Sequatchie County Board of Education for the first District in August, 2008. He previously served on the Board for three years while residing in the third District, and ran for re-election after relocating to a new home in March, 2008. Steve is a native of Sequatchie County, being raised and educated in the community that he now chooses to reside in with his wife and children. He was a member of the Sequatchie County High School Class of 1981. He is currently employed with Fuji Hunt Chemicals in Dayton, TN. He has been married for 23 years to Lisa Sprouse Harmon, also a lifelong resident of the county, and a member of the graduating class of 1985. She is employed as a dental hygienist with Dr. David Barto in Chattanooga. They have two daughters, Madison, a junior at Sequatchie County High School, and Morgan, a freshman. The girls are active in many activities at the high school, including pep club, student council, and tennis, as well as class officers and honor court members. Steve takes great pride in the education system that is in place in our county, as well as in representing the children and voters in the first District. The success of our school system directly affects the preparation of our children and community for the future, and he is fully aware of the responsibility that this places on our administration, and board as a whole, and makes his board decisions with this as his top priority. |
