A Little About Me

My Family

I am a mother of some wonderful children who have all gone through Griffith Elementary School, Sequatchie County Middle School and Sequatchie County High School. They have kept me very busy over the years, which has made my heart very happy. Spending time with them and watching them participate in sports, music, 4H and other activities is one of the greatest joys I have.

My Career

I have been a special education teacher for over 20 years. The majority of my teaching career has been in preschool. I believe that all children can learn and have high expectations for themselves. Over my years of teaching, I have taught in private and public schools, but I have called Griffith Elementary School home for over 20 years. This is where I have grown and continue to learn to be the best teacher I can be for not only the students in my classroom but the students in our school, as well as SCMS and SCHS. 

Things I love to do

I love to spend time with my children, family and friends. We enjoy playing games, hiking, watching movies and just spending time with each other.

I am an avid reader. I love to read books about a variety of topics and genres. It is really one of my favorite things to do. Reading allows me to go places I might not ever get to physically go. It is a way to relax and refocus.

I also enjoy photography. Some of you may know that I work as a photographer and have my own photography business. So you might just see me out and about at the sporting events in the valley.
