Mrs. Liz West
Mrs. Liz West is beginning her 20th year of teaching English 9 at SCHS. She is a 1993 graduate of Marion County High School. Although she recieved most of her college education at Middle Tennessee State University, she married during her fourth year of studies there. She then transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education (with an emphasis in English). Throughout her years at SCHS, Mrs. West has also taught English 11, Contemporary Issues, Fashion Marketing, and Content Area Reading. She has a passion for literature and enjoys sharing her love of Shakespeare with her students.
Mrs. West lives on a farm in Jasper with her husband, Gene, and her two sons, Tristan and Austin. They raise beef cattle and Tennessee Walking horses. When Mrs. West isn't in the classroom, she enoys spending time with her family on the farm riding ATVs and playing with her horses and three dogs.
