2026-2027 SCMS School Supply Lists

A new school year is almost here, and we're looking forward to welcoming our students back for another year of learning, growth, and new opportunities.

To help everyone start the year prepared, we've updated the school supply list for each grade level at Sequatchie County Middle School. These lists include the essential supplies students will need to stay organized, be successful in the classroom, and begin the year with confidence.

Our teachers have carefully put together each grade-level list based on classroom needs, making it easier for families to shop and ensure students have everything they need for a great start. From notebooks and folders to headphones and other classroom essentials, these lists are designed to help students be ready for day one.

We hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer, and we can't wait to see our students back in the hallways for another exciting school year!

A lock is optional for lockers. However, if a student uses a lock it must be purchased from SCMS. All students are responsible for having pencils, paper, and notebooks daily. Please replenish as needed through the school year.

5th Grade Supply List

• 2-4 - Reams of computer paper
• 2 packs - loose leaf wide rule paper
• 3 packs - pencils
• 2-3 boxes - Kleenex
• Lysol Wipes
• 1 pack - glue sticks
• Paper towels
• 1 pack - yellow highlighters
• 1 - 1" binder
• 1 - pencil pouch (3 ring to go in binder)
• 4 - spiral 1-subject wide-rule notebooks
• 2 - composition notebooks
• 1 pack - 12-pack colored pencil
• Earbuds or headphones (No wireless - we recommend buying 2 pairs-one for the student to use and one for the teacher to store, with their name on it, to replace theirs if lost or damaged throughout the year)

6th Grade Supply List
