Brave-O Award Recipients! - May 15th, 2026

Each week, SCMS recognizes students who go above and beyond in academics, attitude, and character with the Bravo-O Award. These students exemplify what it means to be a Bravo, showing dedication, kindness, and perseverance in everything they do. Join us in celebrating this week's outstanding recipients! (Name are listed from left to right / top to bottom in the photo)

Celine Rene (5th Grade) - Nominated by Jeff Baker

This weeks Brave-O is Celine Rene. This young lady is an absolute delight to have in class. She is friendly and kind to everyone. She is diligent in her schoolwork and often supports her classmates in understanding difficult concepts that they're learning. Celine carries herself with a positive attitude and a beautiful smile each and every day. We are so blessed to have Celine at SCMS!

Marcellah Cain (6th Grade) - Nominated by Megan Johnson

As this year closes, I get to choose one more amazing student that represents a Brave-O. Marcellah Cain is an exceptional student who consistently demonstrates dedication, curiosity, and a strong work ethic. They approach every challenge with a positive attitude, contribute thoughtfully in class, and show genuine respect for both peers and teachers. Their commitment to learning and personal growth makes them a standout example of academic excellence and character.

Dez Daggett (7th Grade) - Nominated by Madison Swanner

I am proud to recognize a student who consistently shows kindness, respect, and a strong work ethic each day in class. Dez Daggett always comes into B block with a smile on his face. I have had the joy of watching him work hard to show tremendous growth in his understanding of math knowledge. Dez always puts forth his best effort no matter the challenge. His determination, positive attitude, and willingness to keep improving makes him a wonderful example for others. Keep up the great work, your hard work and growth do not go unnoticed!

Bella Cisto (8th Grade) - (Related Arts) Nominated by Laura Hicks

The last band Brave-O goes to an 8th grader who has proven to be a loyal band member. Bella Cisto is a wonderful example of what a band member should be. She is respectful, hard-working, and ready to participate. Her musicianship shines not only in band but also in choir and musical theatre too. I'm looking forward to seeing her hard work pay off not only the remainder of this year, but also throughout all her years of being a Sequatchie County band member.

Keep up the amazing work: You are making SCMS proud!
